Holiday Lipstick and the Right Shade for your Teeth

Holiday Lipstick and the Right Shade for Your Smile
It's the time of year for holiday parties. A Perfect Smile knows an ugly lipstick can ruin even the best look. A Perfect Smile gives 6 tips to choose the best lipstick for your smile.
Getting ready for a holiday party? You can get your smile noticed and put your best face forward by choosing the right lipstick. A good lipstick can make teeth look whiter and take years off of your look if you choose carefully. Here are some tips from the hygienists at A Perfect Smile to make your holiday smile shine bright:
Do's:
Look for rich reds and berry colored lipstick to lighten the appearance of your teeth. Unlike bright reds, these will make your teeth look whiter without aging your look.
Many deep red lipsticks have subtle blue undertones that will make your teeth look whiter and give a boost to yellowed teeth. A nice plum colored gloss is a great choice if you have fair skin.
Glossy, wet look finish lip color reflects light and adds depth to your lips. Shiny colors make your teeth shine too, so even coffee stained teeth can look deceivingly white with the perfect sheen. Go for a glossier shade if you have thin lips, as they generally make lips appear fuller.
Don'ts:
Skip the pale or neutral pink shades. They will make teeth look dull.
Frosted lipsticks should also be avoided as they can make your teeth appear the same shade as the lipstick (or worse yet, they will look dark!)
Avoid orange toned or bright reds which accentuate discolored teeth, and make them look more stained and yellow.
